Very fun to play even though its an old game and graphics seem like they are from stone age. ANNO is more logistics, this is more economy.If you do not have a business degree, by completing part of this game i can honestly say if you are good, you have a minor in business.This is the only game with a "real" stock market component, that alone would have me recommend this game. Capitalism 2 is a wonderful game about economics, manafacturing, and general business. It has some very indepth mechanics that create a wonderful experience one could sink lots of hours into. The mechanics taken from the original game were so indepth that Harvard University and Stanford University actually used this game in economics courses to explain concepts of finance and business with Professor Tom Kosnik going so far as to say "Capitalism is a world-class, hands-on learning experience I've used at Stanford School of Engineering and Harvard Business School. Gamers not only learn the subtleties of growing an entrepreneurial business but also learn about leadsership and team building necessary in any business situation." The game in the beginning is very unintuitive. While there is a tutorial, it is mostly explaining the UI, and for me, did not explain a lot of what I was doing. After a bit of trial and error, I turned to the internet, and discovered how to play this magnificent game. It is a lot of fun. It is very fun creating a profitable business, while also engaging with the in game stock markets. TLDR: Capitalism 2 is a wonderful game if you are willing to take the time and learn the game.(Most hours I have put into this game have been offline). Game is awesome but configuration (resolution, mouse speed, arrows scrolling, etc.) is like it was in 1990. It's impossible to play.Do not purchase. Refund requested.### Update ###Enlight Software (developer) PMed me via Steam, gave me 3 keys for Capitalism Lab and asked to "update my review of Capitalism 2 to a positive one if you like this game series". I've installed Capitalism Lab. It's the same game (as I can see, like 90% is the same): graphics is the same, logic is the same (as I can see for an hour-two), screen resolution is fixed, $30 price. Lol what?… Still do not purchase.. i give a solid 75/100. i played this game 9 years ago, and this game is 16 years old, so you are to expect UI and graphics the standard of 16 years ago. the reason i am giving it a positive score at all is because it is truly a unique experience to play this. this is a game for people who want to be a millionair and learn to make even more. Recommend to buy it on sale tho, a 16 year old game shouldnt cost nearly as much.Gameplay : the game itself is quite simple, it all boils down to earning money, the depth of the game comes from the numbers themselves, there are so many factors that results in a profit or loss, some of them you can control while others are inevitable, there are so many ways to do it too, you want to invest in stock market? sure. you want to buy out all there competition? sure. you want to specialize in selling a single product out of the 100s? sure. you want to buy/sell property? sure. and the game ensures that every method you use is able to profit from that. however if you do mess up in investing into an area, you will feel the loss, that which makes it so entertaining to play, despite your millions of dollars you can still be left with nothing if you do not carefully plan your moves. Audio/UI/Graphics :i put this together because you have to understand its♥♥♥♥♥♥compared to what we have now, but it delivers what it needs, i was 12 when i played this and i manage to profit without knowing literally what 80% of the buttons and menu does.Replayability :highly replayable, you get to determine the game's win condition in custom games, the game have enough content to keep it interesting until two conditions are met, knowing how to solve the problems the game brings and knowing how the AI works. once you figure it out it becomes a little too easy. Price : i bought this for 2.5usd nine years ago, so i dont know why you're charging more now for a 16 year old game. i guess you're profitting off my nostalgia
